My name is John Kelly and I believe in the “citizen legislature” our Founding Fathers intended. I publicly served Orange County as a member of the Tustin City Council but I am also a small business owner committed to retaining my identity as an Orange County resident, not a politician.
The 48th Congressional District does not need another career politician. This special election was called because our former congressman, Chris Cox, chose to accept a promotion and vacated his seat, instead of finishing his term as a servant of the people, Congressman Cox has placed a $1.5 million burden on the people of Orange County.
I am running for Congress, not because I want a political career, but because I intend to serve the people of Orange County, just as I have served my customers since I opened my shop in 1979.
